@river once you've initiated the double ratchet session you can send to the server the public key of a newly-generated keypair to register it as a recovery key and the server will return back to you.........actually the server probably doesn't need to return anything back to you. the server can then receive a separate message (not within a double ratchet session) from a request signed with the recovery private key. then the server will use that public key to initiate a new double ratchet session and destroy the old
@river the point is that unlike the credentials you use all the time to communicate, it can be easier to take care of a static fixed backup key. it can also allow you to destroy the active credentials as needed

@linuxassociation using AI images reflects none of the values you quoted. There is no opportunity for collaboration with an FOSS artist and no support for the creative community. Worst of all: this AI image is meaningless, adds nothing to your post and could have been easily replaced with any real photo.
It doesn't help explaining your work at all. It only shows: you don't care about artists - or the planet. Where is the responsible use here? And the transparency? I see no AI mark anywhere.

As seen from my house, a pyrocumulus cloud over the Hawk Fire on Peavine Mountain north of Reno, Nevada, earlier today. According to Zeke on The Lookout YouTube channel, the fire has gotten into Hidden Hills (Seneca Dr / Chippewa Ave) & has jumped US395 into an older part of Stead (Peppermint Dr). Homes are being lost. 😢

It's not just the lack of a future, it's the lack of a present for kids.
We've made it too dangerous for them to walk to school, we've made it do dangerous to run / bike around the neighbourhood with their friends, we've made recreation too expensive for many families, and those who can afford some recreation have to limit what their kids do.

You really want to know why kids are depressed and isolated? It's not social media. Or phones. Adults have created a world with fuck all future. No job security. No owning your own home. No real action on climate. Adults need to take responsibility for what they have done.
