Just had a random thought wondering who the best surgeon in the world is, and stupidly searched it and the answer (of course) is that it's totally subjective, however I got to reading about some amazing people including Henry Norman Bethune, who was a thoracic surgeon who designed the first mobile blood transfusion unit, and was also a soldier, poet, artist, and iconoclast, and I feel like a shitty person. I think that having a brain poached to that degree, in US society and in the American economy, and if you are white and moderately wealthy so that you can afford to fail a few times and have the privilege of access to capital, gives you better odds at becoming extremely wealthy.
