Old Rusty. I wonder how long it has been since a smiling laughing little kid sat behind Old Rusty's wheel?
🆕🚂🇬🇪 New location feature: Treacherous Train Carriage Bridge, Georgia
On the outskirts of a Georgian town, an old Soviet railway carriage lies across a river, repurposed as an unlikely pedestrian bridge. Rusted through in places, gaps and missing panels expose the turbulent water below.

🇱🇧 An 1920s grand theatre, somewhere in Lebanon. This once-beautiful venue is now little more than a shell due to decades of civil war damage.

Manoir Colimaçon (Spiral Manor). A late 19th-century mansion that lies abandoned somewhere in northern France.
Inside, the spiral stairway offers some wonderful photo opportunities! This helical service stair links all floors, built with blocky concrete columns and covered in small white tiles.
The first photo is looking up through the heart of the spiral staircase!

🐦🔥 Château Martin Pêcheur (or, Kingfisher Chateau) was a stunning abandoned residence in France. Sadly, it was destroyed by a fire and now all that remains are photos and memories.

🌿Nature is always waiting in the wings to reclaim what we have taken. When we abandoned our buildings, or discard an old car in a forest, it isn’t long before vegetation colonises what we have left behind.
A smashed window or a collapsed roof is all it takes, a small opening for plant-life to enter and take root. In my opinion, the most beautiful of all abandoned places are ones that are being reclaimed by nature.
Which one is your favourite?

Manicomio di R. A former neuropsychiatric hospital somewhere in #Italy. Terminology that reflects a bleak chapter in medical history, "manicomio" meaning "madhouse".
The institution opened in the 1870s. A research lab, radiology, electrotherapy rooms, dental care, an operating theatre and a chapel are later additions.
Italy’s new national health system in the 1980s saw all these "mental asylums" close.

🧳🇩🇪 Time to check in, at The Low Budget Hotel (Germany). We are sorry to inform you that there has been a problem with your booking 😱
Built in the 1960s in an east German spa town, this hotel closed around 15-20 years ago as two modern hotels opened, drawing guests away from older establishments. Many hotels closed in the town, and this hotel was actually among the last to succumb.
