Op 3 september 2026 organiseerden Dutch Cloud Community en eco – Association of the Internet Industry een Nederlands-Duitse uitwisseling over de aanpak van online abuse in brede zin.

Gerben Klein Baltink, voorzitter van het Platform Internetstandaarden, gaf een korte presentatie over https://Internet.nl en legde uit hoe deze tool de algehele online veiligheid van Nederlandse organisaties heeft verbeterd en de sector heeft gestimuleerd om zijn werkwijzen te verbeteren.

De bijeenkomst vond gelijktijdig met en op dezelfde locatie plaats als de Dag van de Nederlandse Cloud, georganiseerd door Dutch Cloud Community en Cloud Expo.

Michiel Henneke van @SIDN schreef een artikel over deze dag, die een duidelijk rode draad had: de Nederlandse hostingsector wil een actieve rol spelen in een veiliger digitaal ecosysteem én de versterking van de digitale autonomie.

So, I am very ill today. And I promised the BF, who is going to be away all day, I would not spend every waking moment reading the news and getting upset about it. I don't know if I can comply with this request without leaving my desk for the afternoon so I might fuck off.

Nor did they call for it when people got hurt or killed because an AI chatbot gave them misinformation, encouraged selfharm, or induced delusional behavior — isn't that odd??
