I am not going to apologize for saying possibly stupid things about "AI" related nonsense, while the overall reporting conflates LLM/GPT systems with any other (less hyped) forms of what could also be termed as "AI".
When I can log into Gmail and log out again without seeing multiple links to "try some of our AI", I'll try to be more nuanced.

@futurebird Might be that the quantity is the same, but the scope is larger and the quality is so very much lower. These are gigantic lies, and ludicrous ones. There's no real sense that the liars care whether anyone believes them or not.
what method of collaboration became morally unacceptable? do you regard this list to be an attack on free or open source software itself? because I do not think it is. I think it's a warning not to waste any time listening to these specific creeps
These people literally invented the concept of free and open source software. By engaging with it as a concept, we are intrinsically aiding and abetting their moral code, unfortunately. Unless somebody else comes with a similar concept that is independently formed and does not borrow anything from their ideas.

The process has been used by many companies to successfully reverse hijack a domain name, so it's not really unique to CIRA in this type of situation.
I don't know if you got to it yet, .is is a good one to look at. Iceland has fairly robust publication laws (probably best to host it in Iceland though - see ADL vs 1984.is https://litigation.1984.hosting/), ISNIC still do occasionally suspend domains, some obviously illegal and others questionably

So yes, your intuition is right. The free area is a constant that does not depend from the length and height of the mattress, but from the length and height of your body :-)
