So my phone tricked me into updating to iOS 26 (nice one, asshats). And wow: it really is a case study in form over function. Gratuitous, meaningless aesthetics and motion. Decoration, not design. “Look what I can do!”

Oh well, if it gets me using my phone less, that’s a good thing, I guess.

But the next time you hear someone from Apple talking about design, please feel free to laugh in their damn faces. What a sad joke they’ve become.

so @johnzajac hits on something really important about #neoliberalism: the #aesthetics of it.

i have said numerous times that neoliberalism is #corporatism which is fascism in a business suit.

after Mussolini and Gentile wrote their #fascism manifesto, Mussolini said numerous times what he wanted for Italy was corporatism. BUT! he was both a Hitler and Henry Ford stan.

so it’s no coincidence, when he’d visit USA, he’d don a suit but around Adolf he’d butch up in fatigues… 🧵
