🧵1/2: It's legally incomprehensible the #UK#SupremeCourt should have upheld the government's decision to outlaw #PalestineAction as a #terrorist organisation: it's unenforceable. I don't believe the chilling effect will work & the arrest of 25 citizens holding signs today proves it. There are too many people alienated by #Labour's hostile & #austerity policies who have a lot of time on their hands & nothing left to lose, incl. 1000s of #pensioners screwed over by the #winterfuel payment cuts

🧵2/2: #women form the bulk of pensioners & women don't like to see #babies dying of hunger, gun shots or bombs unleashed by #genocide. #Starmer is a cynical imbecile who underestimates the power of women and I trust he will hopefully soon be caught out for #complicity & general hostility towards the people who he owes his mandate to (Go #ZarahSultana!). In the meantime, find creative ways to support a #FreePalestine, #Israel's legal accountability for its #warcrimes in #Gaza & UK #freespeech

🧵 3/3: I erroneously mentioned a decision from the #SupremeCourt earlier regarding #PalestineAction. The case has only reached the Court of Appeal, denying a suspension of the proscription until a wider legal challenge takes place on July 21.

This changes everything: it means that legal recourse is not exhausted and that time to put pressure is NOW.
