Patented around 1879–1880, these glass or earthenware “banjo” shaped bottles allowed babies to self-feed. Many had sweet sounding names such as “My Little Pet” and “Mummies Darling” while others were very nationalistic like “The Empire,” “The National” or “The Victorian.”

I'd love practical tips. Right now I can't go into stores with my baby because she can't mask, having the ability to wheel her inside would greatly expand what I can do while caring for my child. Also useful during wildfire smoke.

I successfully hold them over the toilet for them to urinate and defecate there instead of in a diaper some percentage of the time! I'm still learning to recognize their signals that they need the bathroom, but they're like 9 days old so we have time to learn together :-)
