馃У 3/3: I erroneously mentioned a decision from the #SupremeCourt earlier regarding #PalestineAction. The case has only reached the Court of Appeal, denying a suspension of the proscription until a wider legal challenge takes place on July 21.

This changes everything: it means that legal recourse is not exhausted and that time to put pressure is NOW.

@davidallengreen points out that when we think about how international law is faring in the current global political situation, there's a big difference between compliance & enforcement.... while (as Harold Koh famously pointed out) most countries follow international law most of the time, when a state chooses not to (or even to acknowledge its salience) we find ourselves in a world where sovereign self-restraint has (dangerously) evaporated!
