I was able to walk up close to the possum. The critter is eyeing me with its freaky blue eyes. Under light rain, the fur looks a little bedraggled, but overall this seems to be a healthy little possum.
A medium-small possum in the green lawn beside a row of lilac bushes. (The lilac leaves look brown and are drying up due to a foliar disease, possibly powdery mildew.)
