Today’s weather: Overcast with light rain and a chance of possums.

I was able to walk up close to the possum. The critter is eyeing me with its freaky blue eyes. Under light rain, the fur looks a little bedraggled, but overall this seems to be a healthy little possum.

The current air quality index for #Minneapolis, #Chicago, almost all of #Minnesota, #Wisconsin and much of #Iowa, #Illinois and #Michigan is currently hovering around 175-200, unhealthy for everyone. Protect yr lungs and wear a mask out there fam!

A Red-Spotted Purple butterfly (Limenitis arthemis astyanax) on the purple coneflowers. The red spots at top corner of the wings are barely visible. But the shimmery blue color stands out.
