Finished Baldur's Gate 3 for the first time after 1 year, 1 month and 9 days.

And the giant #GravisGamePad, my scaled-up, fully functional, 3D printed and Arduino-powered controller. It might finally be time to tell this thing's story. #retrogaming #pcgaming

Did you know that Sam Porter in the #PCGaming title #DeathStranding shares some ridiculously strong similarities with the Japanese Bokka porters? They work in the Japanese alps, far from where any vehicle can be utilized and at high elevations.
He hasn't explicitly confirmed that they were an inspiration, but...at least I can see it.
They carry upwards of 100KG on their backs, often using lines to help them up inclines. I think their packs are a strong reminder of Sam's!
🎉 Happy birthday #Quake! On June 22, 1996, id Software launched Quake — the first full-3D shooter using the #QuakeEngine. Unlike 2D-sprite-based games, Quake featured fully 3D environments, dynamic lighting, and Lightmaps.
#HalfLife and #CounterStrike are built on the Quake engine — making it a milestone in multiplayer #FPS history. Earlier, #Doom (1993) set the stage with groundbreaking 3D visuals, network play, and the birth of #Deathmatch.
The evolution continued with #idTech2 through #idTech5 powering games like #Doom3 and #Rage. Developer #JohnCarmack was the technical genius behind id’s engines before moving to #Oculus.
Which #idTech-based games do you remember?
