Can anyone help me identify a video game?

A family member remembers playing a game, some time ca. 2005–2010. They remember there being a scene in a submarine and a scene at a market where melons or something could be bought, and water was somehow important.

Somewhat sure it wasn't first person, but it might have been some isometric pseudo 3D thing; they say it might have been one of those "you can only walk left or right" things.

Long shot, I know, but if anyone has an inkling, I'd love to hear it.

Would have been running on Windows 😜 at the time.
