What I can say about photographing my own body is that it's one of the most mentally and emotionally challenging things I've ever done. Turns out twenty years of therapy barely touched the damage that the 90s, and subsequent decades, did to my body image. Turns out that even at age 42, the most confident and happy I’ve ever been, the internet being populated with 'perfect bodies' sours a relationship with my own.

A Roman child's sarcophagus with Cupids racing chariots: the horses of one of the drivers have fallen, a Cupid is trying to help a horse get back on his feet. On chariot drives over a Cupid lying on the ground.
The interpretation of the motif is disputed: it was explained as souls driving towards the heavens, as an allegory for the hardship of life and the eventual triumph after death as well as an allegory for the journey of life with its joy and loss.

No, it's not April Fools' Day. If you've ever published a book, or a journal article with a DOI assigned to it, then Elsevier _claims_ 🤮 to be representing YOU in a copyright lawsuit it has recently filed in New York.
I fall into this set of authors myself. Whilst I'm not that keen on some of what Meta's done here, Elsevier & co DO NOT REPRESENT ME!

The whole copyright assignment was introduced to me "back in the days", bc they could protect my authors rights better (than my university)
