Hmm. @fastmail desktop app (Linux, Windows, macOS). https://www.fastmail.com/blog/desktop-app/
Fastmail users can now download an official desktop app, available for Linux via Flathub. Don't get too excited though - it is Electron...

So my #Fastmail sub is due for renewal RSN and so I'm looking for a replacement.
#ProtonMail is often suggested but the pricing (for multiple domains) feels prohibitive to me.
Is there another not-terrible option closer to Fastmails $8ish per month rather than Protons $16ish per month?
I do require support for at least two domains.
🎉 Stay productive anywhere with offline support! Read, draft, and organise your email even without the internet. Everything syncs when you’re back online. Perfect for flights, commutes, or spotty coverage.

Finally I canceled my company's Google account. Moved mail to Fastmail and docs to Libreoffice plus Nextcloud Files.
I’m trying out @fastmail but because they don’t offer a widget or a standalone app for the calendar, it takes 4 taps (edit: 2 if you enable the bottom menu) to simply check my calendar for the day 💀
1) Open #Fastmail app
2) Open side menu
3) Open drop-down menu
4) Finally switch to calendar view
I submitted a ticket to make sure I wasn’t missing anything (edit: workaround is to use #iOS Calendar app) but is anyone successfully using Fastmail as a #Google Calendar replacement? My current setup:
Another huge issue with #Fastmail calendar: there is zero integration with map apps.
Need to navigate to an appointment? Tapping the “Where” field does nothing, because it’s plain text! Need to add a location? Manually search and copy/paste the address (or as Fastmail Support suggested, the Google Maps URL), then open Google Maps again when you’re heading out.
Apple Maps sucks and #OrganicMaps is horribly outdated and won’t even let me log in with my #OSM account… de-Googling is impossible 🫠

Nice touch from @fastmail. Several of my setups just exploded because they finally shut down a few of their deprecated domain names.
I got an automated email from them asking whether I needed help setting up my mail clients, after they persisted in using old domain names / passwords.
What I needed was to pay more attention to their deprecation warnings 😜 But the detection of the problem, and automated offering of help, was a nice touch and appreciated 💖
