Going to be talking about the specific forms of visual historical memory promoted by particular styles of game and the effect that's having on modern perceptions of the Byzantine and medieval Caucasian worlds :)
@antiaall3s I think there's a lot of Nostalgia that drives enterprises like this.
Except there still will be moderation issues and we've all moved on as people to different platforms.
It's all shiny nostalgia with no consideration of things like context collapse. It's nostalgia and I want community spaces that can think beyond the big town square idea.

Dear not-Spaniards: The destruction of the tents in Ceuta’s beaches last week has been been claimed by not less than the Sevilla FC nazi supporter group “Stukas Sur (SS)” and “Sancionados Sixtinos Firm (SSf)”. Not by “angry citizens” or “fearful locals”. A nazi group organised a trip, crossed the strait and did all that while the police just let them do.
Take that into account when your local politician uses those images to “warn about migrants”.

Je lis dans les parages des trucs sur la notion de savoir cuisiner, et perso, j'ai remarqué que c'était quand même très relatif d'une personne à l'autre (y a des personnes pour qui faire cuire des coquillettes c'est limite du gastro, et d'autres faire un vol-au-vent c'est le minimum syndical).

Alors quand tu réserves une table dans un resto, maintenant y'en a qui te proposent carrément de choisir les plats et d'être *servi* à l'heure de ta résa (plutôt que de commander une fois sur place).
Je suis perplexe.
Je comprends la logique. Puisque tous les restos font en livraison maintenant, la différence entre préparer un repas à livrer / emporter ou sur place s'estompe.
Et comme le menu est disponible en ligne, pourquoi ne pas transformer l'heure d'arrivée sur place (résa) en heure de service à table. C'est pas très différent d'une commande à emporter, mais servie sur place.

My wife bought new salad cutlery and because of the weird number of arms on the fork my first impulse was "that's AI". Which of course doesn't make sense because I was holding the object in my hands.

Across Europe, there is no single first day back to school. Some pupils return to the classroom in August. Others are still in holiday mode until late September.

@EUCommission Hmm at least Austria it's not universally true. When school starts depends on when the first Monday in September is. For example next year school will start on the 6th / 13th of September.
The same is true when the school ends start btw. The last week of school is always determined by the last Monday in June.
