🧵1/2: It's legally incomprehensible the #UK#SupremeCourt should have upheld the government's decision to outlaw #PalestineAction as a #terrorist organisation: it's unenforceable. I don't believe the chilling effect will work & the arrest of 25 citizens holding signs today proves it. There are too many people alienated by #Labour's hostile & #austerity policies who have a lot of time on their hands & nothing left to lose, incl. 1000s of #pensioners screwed over by the #winterfuel payment cuts

This #Labour administration have made a massive and stupid mistake which will come back to haunt them and the population in many unexpected ways. Should Labour lose the next election, there’s nothing to stop the subsequent winning party declaring Labour or Tories or Greens etc some kind of terrorist organisation because they backed different policies and non-violent action, and arresting them.
Labour and their associates in the Supreme Court have opened a very dangerous Pandora’s Box.
I wonder have they even looked at the proposed march and assembly currently being promoted by Robinson-Yaxley-Lennon for 13th September, and considered banning that and arresting all the participants, like they are doing today? Will the 13th September assembly of racists, bigots, patriots, homophobes etc be in line with the Labour administrations thinking; particularly as they support the IDF and the ongoing genocide in Gaza?
Is waving some version of an English flag sufficient to avoid the tag of enabling violence, death, destruction and terrorism?
