A metaphor makes sense but also if seeing your face would kill someone, and they want to see you just to like behold your magnificence, showing them your backside is a pretty polite and generous way to safely display your magnificence

In 2010, during the Trienalle art exhibition in Nagoya that heavily featured Yayoi Kusama's work, polka dotted Priuses would shuttle museum patrons between the sites. I turned all of this into a CLIL lesson and a school field trip. I learned so much about Yayoi Kusama's life and the meaning behind the polka dots. Her museum in Matsumoto is a must see! #yayoikusama

@jonny @frog Yeah, this stuff is fascinating; you can see how other mythologies and philosophies affect how scripture is/was written and interpreted. One of the first things in his "Guide for the Perplexed," Maimonides has to deal with, is that God is incorporeal while tons of scripture describe God doing physical stuff.
