@glyph With authoritarian personalities it's ALWAYS projection, and there's a lot of overlap between today's techbros (who lean towards far-right politics) and authoritarianism. So they're desperately asserting that their LLMs are "artificial intelligence" because that's the only way to be sure of it, by drowning out all dissenting voices.

LLMs exist, sure, but all we've proven is that there's more to sentience than a language model.

C’est marrant parce que depuis 20 ans, y’a des gens qui tentent d’alerter sur tous les trucs immondes qui pouvaient arriver si on faisait confiance à Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, etc…

On nous a traité de paranoïaques.
