More so, as someone that identifies as male in a country that inherited the UK's legacy of binge drinking, to not drink is to be somehow be a lesser man.

I have minimal social needs, live outside the city, and so do not feel the pressures too much. Were I to be back in Berlin throughout, my experience of quitting might be quite different.

En dan heb je een nieuwe wereldorde, waarin niet alleen een veel grotere oorlogsdreiging is, maar tevens ook de grote wereldmacht waarvan we ons zo afhankelijk hebben gemaakt naar het fascisme afglijdt en de EU tot haar enige tegenstander heeft verklaard in haar Nationale Veiligheidsbeleid. Ik kan me voorstellen dat je dan in het geheim een transitie wil maken om die afhankelijkheden te verkleinen, zonder slapende honden wakker te maken.

No grouped notifications, and the colour scheme isn't quite to my taste - but I can swipe between columns, scrolling is pretty smooth, it supports quote-posts, and registers as a share target on Android.

Might send a few PRs if I can remember how to write Java 😆

@mgrinder @simoncozens Well, he was indeed a kindly old CS professor. I saw him once giving a talk about “the birth of the giant component” — intriguing start, but then it went *way* over my head. His demeanor was kind, graceful, unpretentious. A comparison with Richard Stallman, who also once gave a talk at my university, is left as an exercise for the reader.
