I love my Mastodon client #pachli because sometimes it will randomly change my posting language to German (I don't speak German) and then warn me "Hey this doesn't look like German, are you sure you want to post this as German?" (I have never posted anything in German)

@dermike @viviana you can also filter a hashtag in #pachli by

1. Tap the hashtag (this shows all posts with that tag).
2. Open the top-right menu and choose "Mute".

This creates a new filter for that hashtag.

@viviana um hier nochmal konstruktiv zu werden. Filter bei #Pachli unter Profileinstellungen lässt es sich schön filtern. Unter #Inhaltsfilter kann man sich eigene #Hashtag-Listen erstellen. Darüber hinaus kann man einstellen wie Benachrichtigungen und Unterhaltungen gezeigt / gewarnt/ gefiltert werden von Profilen die sehr neu sind oder von Moderatoren eingeschränkt wurden...

So PugJesus' toots now appear in my feed. No hashtags that I follow, nor am I a follower. A bug in #pachli perhaps? The same in stable and beta. Or is it the .... algorithm....?!

@bstacey as a Mastodon client developer ( #pachli, https://pachli.app) there are a few impediments.

1. You have to be reading slower than the people you follow post. I follow ~ 300 accounts and a handful of hashtags, and regularly hit the top of my home feed
2. You can follow accounts, add them to a list, and exclude posts in that list from your home feed.
3. Your home feed (on Mastodon) has a server-defined maximum number of posts (used to be 400, is now 800).

@harald @kallekn @doktorzjivago @jannem The Pachli issue (where the blocked quote wasn't appearing at all) is now fixed in #Pachli Current, and will be in the next regular Pachli release at the end of the month.

I've been using #pachli as Mastodon app for quite a while now, and everything works fine so far (even UP notifications!). But there is still one question:
What is the difference between "refresh" and "load newest posts" in the timeline menu?
And which of both will happen, if I just wipe downwards in the timeline?

1. In a post with a content warning that quotes another, the quoted post is hidden until you click through the content warning.

2. If your server is running Mastodon 4.4.5 or above you can how search for posts that quote other posts. When searching, open the search filters, and the second row has a new "chip" allow you to choose whether to show or hide posts with quotes.

I often see the horizontal bar and the circles, so that i need to wait for #Pachli.

Experienced this both on #Mastodon and #Mammuthus instances. And yes, regarding Mammuthus it is always possible, that this behaviour is caused by my software... 😉
(That's why i didn't reported this yet officially...)

This is fixed with https://github.com/pachli/pachli-android/pull/2072, which will be in the next Pachli Current release (probably later today), and in the next #Pachli release (as always, towards the end of this month).
