@starfrosch Android 8 or later devices can control notifications channels, so you can silence or hide any notification you want or not want. But the devil is in the details, as more manufacturers will penalize apps you don't interact with and will keep them offline, hence making updates impossible.
Did you also test our latest 2.0-alpha version? It's nice: https://f-droid.org/2026/04/24/twif.html#f-droid-core 😉
@fdroidorg Thanks for your reply. Sorry to inform you: I prefer a working app and not an os workaround or even worse a beta.
I think links are cool. Not even for attribution (which is a must), but just, like, linking to related concepts and articles on the same topic or around from other people. Creates a richer picture, all that. Can recommend.

@ProPublica Very, very scary.
OK, I am very concerned that my back and/or the nerves in and around it are having problems due to the fact I can barely move most of the time and have become so sedentary against my will, so I'm gonna try and walk the dogs today as the Naproxen seems to be easing at least some of the pain / inflammation / chronic illness bullshit.
well I survived walking but that is about the size of it...
Definitely need a lie down to let the pain and fatigue ease a bit and recover the ability to breathe

An example of №3 is ERC-223.
Meant as a replacement for ERC-20. A single person invented ERC-223 without involving all the people who implemented or were using ERC-20.
ERC-223 was largely ignored.

People are of course able to decide for themselves which of №1, №2, and №3 they feel are acceptable scenarios for publishing specifications under organizational bodies (e.g., IETF) and community groups (e.g., FEP), but —
But, I feel only №1 and №2 are acceptable scenarios.

I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but certainly the first step to cancelling all elections is to cancel one election
You know what else is "political violence"?
Every poor Black person sitting in a cage because they can't afford bail.
Every trans person forced into a men's prison so they can be sexually assaulted.
Every person who dies because they can't afford healthcare.
Every child who goes to bed hungry.
The #Pentagon said it had reached agreements with 7 leading #AI companies to deploy their advanced capabilities on the #Defense Dept's #classified networks.
#SpaceX, #OpenAI, #Google, #NVIDIA, #Reflection, #Microsoft & #Amazon Web Services [ #AWS] will be integrated into the Pentagon's Impact Levels 6 & 7 network environments to "streamline data synthesis, elevate situational understanding, & augment warfighter decision-making in complex operational environments.”
I would like to wish all the workers of the world a happy May Day.
We are the force that keeps the world turning. Not money, not techbros, not politicians...
Us. We make every necessary thing happen. Never forget it. #MayDay

Mitra got mentioned once or twice IIRC, even, I’m sure it’s amongst the collective heap of “things I need to learn more about but there are only 3 days…” notes.
Also it caught my attention a little while back because the first srs health tech company I worked for was Mitra Imaging.
@neil Had a massive headache figuring out how a recent Hugo update changed things, but I think it's working now!
