Had a good discussion about the Substack shit. They make a good point that Substack is getting raked over the coals more because they're so big. I agree to a point. But still makes me feel icky. I won't sub to Substacks as a rule because of this.

@phillycodehound In all fairness, they have been rightfully getting shit for a couple years, even when they weren't "so big." We're going on the 5th year that I won't sub to any over there because of its Naziness and even the anti-vax publications. Bannon and a few others went over there in 2020 with the Covid mininfo crap. That is when I first started hearing about them. Substack made millions from it and the founders put out a message that they were ok with it because of "less censorship."
There is no excuse for honorable people to use Substack now with Ghost and Ghost even federates.

The protocol was Wyoming, but this evolved to #LinuxVoiceAssistant as part of #ESPhome (and can run on RPi now).
The back-end can be anonymised cloud (like #Mycroft was) or fully local of you reduce the models or have a big GPU (trades accuracy Vs silicon).
