I think the 500m thing rapidly drops in times of high prices. Heroin users are more strung out, more desperate to get it in their arm, so they either shoot up with their dealers, or very very close by.
I spend a bit of time talking to local users, they're mostly ok people with a traumatic history. We can't forget that
@sortius agreed, my early career included welfare services for heroin users in Canberra in the 1990's. Better trauma support from childhood through to adults would greatly reduce deaths and long term health conditions, and break intergenerational cycles. All the research tells us it works, and it's more cost effective than not doing it.
Anyway graph processing for humans is looking real good, I believe we have done enough scouting of other existing projects to say there is nothing like it, on the last touches before we turn to finishing the docs and then write it up for JOSS.

There is a known problem where a lot of the data centers that have lately been built for cryptocurrency or "AI" scams never make money - only Nvidia and the power companies do.

@michael_w_busch @sarahtaber cryptocurrency isn't really in the game any more. the only mined crypto with any real volume is bitcoin and that's increasingly hard to make a living at, which is why guys like coreweave moved to AI. where they don't make money either, but at much BIGGER scale.

The "AI"s answer for how to handle out of order events was just to... Sleep... For long enough that by the time it woke up all the events should have arrived... And if I increased the number of events it would just increase the sleep time... Until the sleep hit the test timeout duration of 15s...... At which point the AI marked the test as slow, skipped it, and declared victory.

Note that Micro1 is not hiring themselves but using #LinkedIn under false pretenses to populate their new applicant tracking platform and ingest into their AI. When asked about all this and their approach in their first “Building your career with micro1” session today individuals were kicked out and banned from the #Zoom session.
It is disgusting that companies like this feel they can waste peoples time & portray false pretenses to ingest our time and personal information. I would suggest that if you have started the process with them to invoke the “right to be forgotten” per #CCPA and/or #GDPR.
How horrible is it for getting peoples hopes up just for a bait n switch for their companies gain, in such a horrible hiring climate?
