Note that Micro1 is not hiring themselves but using #LinkedIn under false pretenses to populate their new applicant tracking platform and ingest into their AI. When asked about all this and their approach in their first “Building your career with micro1” session today individuals were kicked out and banned from the #Zoom session.

It is disgusting that companies like this feel they can waste peoples time & portray false pretenses to ingest our time and personal information. I would suggest that if you have started the process with them to invoke the “right to be forgotten” per #CCPA and/or #GDPR.

How horrible is it for getting peoples hopes up just for a bait n switch for their companies gain, in such a horrible hiring climate?

Starting in 2026, you can now request to have your personal data deleted from data broker databases if you are a #California resident thanks to the California Consumer Privacy Act ( #CCPA)

DROP is available to consumers to submit deletion requests. Data brokers will start processing deletion requests August 1, 2026.

The website is asking me to consent to share my "navigation and use activity" with third-party service providers without telling me who they are or exactly what data are shared with them.
These details also don't seem to be available in the website's privacy policy.
This is a shitty, useless consent banner which purports to be there to protect my privacy when in fact it's doing no such thing.

At least 35 data brokers employed #DarkPatterns to discourage #Californian​s from exercising their privacy rights. Researchers say the companies hid legally required web pages from #Google—so people can’t find them.
