Followup on yesterday- Does anyone know how much $$ data centers tend to make?
Any metrics are useful- per square meter, per unit computing capacity, whatever.

There is a known problem where a lot of the data centers that have lately been built for cryptocurrency or "AI" scams never make money - only Nvidia and the power companies do.

@michael_w_busch @sarahtaber cryptocurrency isn't really in the game any more. the only mined crypto with any real volume is bitcoin and that's increasingly hard to make a living at, which is why guys like coreweave moved to AI. where they don't make money either, but at much BIGGER scale.
