This is your friendly reminder that low vision users exist. We need font sizes that are dramatically larger than yours.

Many of us use the “minimum font size" NOT zoom, because we need bigger text, not bigger images.

I'm on the very low end of low vision needs, but my 20pt minimum font size breaks SO MANY web sites.

We bought this gin as a birthday present for @clareburgess’s mum. It starts off blue, but turns pink when you add tonic. That’s right, it’s transGINder 🏳️‍⚧️

So I'm reading a bit about Chinese history, and it turns out that the record-keeping for oracle bones is pretty comprehensive! For instance, we know the questions asked in the auguries were repeated multiple times, and the plurality of responses was taken as the real answer.

Put another way, the ancient Chinese had a better handle on how to approach stochastic output than we do.

My elderly aunt never married and has no one to support her.
She lost her eyeglasses under the rubble of the house and can barely see now.
She urgently needs new glasses to manage her simple daily needs.

It's kind of amazing how similar the boundary-pushing fascists engage in matches what children do when you ask them to stop doing something and they have a desperate need to prove that the thing they were doing was actually OK. They force you to choose between letting further transgressions go or feeling like an asshole, and then once you decide to give up and let it go, they have a new boundary they can start from.

The only response that works is to already have a good idea what the boundary is, and stick to that boundary, calmly and persistently. If they keep crossing it, then you say, "You can't be in here if you can't respect the boundaries I've set" or something along those lines.

We struggle to survive every day. 💔
We cook over fires, wash our hands, and live in tents that offer no protection from the cold.
All we have left is hope to keep going in this endless suffering.
