He's been brave and stoic until we could get an appointment, but I need to take him in and get him looked at. And at least get him something for the gum pain and inflammation. 😿

But on a more recent note, he is nearing the end of his studies in IT, and is in need of a laptop to go through the final year, and hopefully get a job to support himself and his family throughout all of this.

Can anyone point me to any past or ongoing conversations around combined mutual aid fundraisers?

I get (at least some of) the challenges involved in this, but given past success stories, I'd like to better understand the seeming lack of efforts to replicate them.
