I previously thought this was atrociously bad UX, I now see it as a feature
@cwebber i thought so too, and was ready to dunk on Mastodon in my newsletter lol. but signed up with truth social to verify, and they've significantly revamped the UI around dms, so I think this was just Trump being stupid after all

Help Echo, a disabled trans woman flee texas, especially with the changes that have occurred in the state due to the election result. Surely the escalating pace of major cyber attacks shutting production lines down all around the world should tell us we either need to take cyber security much, much more seriously than we currently do, or that we should stop connecting literally everything to the internet.

@katexochen thanks, it solved that problem, now it runs \0/ ... but I can't access the service with my browser /0\ , I guess it's a purely docker issue now? I've added:
ExposedPorts = {
"8000/tcp" = {};
};
and 8000/tcp shows in docker ps and docker inspect, and that's the port the app binds to, but my browser says unable to connect on http://localhost:8000/ :'(

@ozoned yeah, but that still doesn't stop ghost towns from occurring. Not everyone can host their own social network, and the way we're currently building we regularly end up with ghost towns as leadership burns out and chases everyone out of their town
@thisismissem Excellent point, as always. I'm hoping that we find a way to make our digital identities a way for us to move into different apps and services.
