I was looking at the Open Science flavour / app (I'm still a bit foggy on the terminology), but there seem to be some dead links (e.g. on https://bonfirenetworks.org/app/open-science/, the "participate" link (to https://github.com/bonfire-networks/bonfire-app/tree/main/flavours/open-science); and on https://github.com/bonfire-networks/bonfire-app, the "Open Science" link (to https://github.com/bonfire-networks/open-science).

#WritersCoffeeClub 8. How many narrative voices does your current WIP have?
Current WIP is boring: it's mostly tight third following two alternating MCs (romance-style), with intermissions of omniscient third (it's an elaborate setting/plot, reader needs to be able to seethings the MCs are unaware of).
But I've written novels that mixed it up. eg. "Rule 34" was multi-POV 2nd person present, with an implicit narrator that is a non-conscious AI (not an LLM; LLMs didn't exist when I wrote it).

@stufromoz yeah a bit shaken, it’s the nearest near-miss I’ve had at that intersection. Ive had a few near-misses there, and it’s a hot-spot for prangs. Hopefully it won’t happen again because the council is converting it from an offset double T intersection to a roundabout.

@afreytes I know you're not looking for a solution, and that's not what this is (since you've obviously already ordered it), it's more a suggestion for future replacement parts. If they're plastic bits, or could be replaced by plastic bits, it might be worth looking into 3D printing. You'd obviously still need to import the filament, so it might not end up being worth it, but one shipment of filament would net you many various parts.

not necessarily? think of a messaging app that supports group messages. you create a group chat with your buddies and one other person. the person being added can:
- not accept the invite
- remove themselves from the group
- block people in the group
- report messages in the group
in the last scenario, mods do not have full context. the user has to attach any relevant context.
@scottjenson @evana @mastodonmigration @stefan but because there is a private aspect, you would be free to act differently than you would otherwise act in public, and your only avenue for consequences would be *if* the added person reports y'all.
so the gap here is that people aren't being made aware that they can/should report such harassment. i don't think doing away with private posts solves anything.
one thing that could be done is to filter followers-only like mentioned-only, but...

La stand up non è mai stata la mia passione (nel senso che la trovo piacevole, ma non mi fa mai sganasciare), ma dopo ieri sera allo Zelig ho un rinnovato rispetto per chi sale su un palco e prova a far ridere la gente.
Suonare è molto più facile: c'è casino. Se invece parli e c'è silenzio totale fa molto più brutto.
(è andata bene, non ho fatto una figuraccia e mi sono divertito)
