Gaza Verified verifies, through video calls, that people are from Gaza and facing genocide.

Why do you think they’re forced to ask for help?

I’ll tell you:

Because the rest of the world has failed in its moral duty to stop Israel’s ongoing genocide and help them.

Because the US (#1 arms dealer to Israel) and Germany (#2 arms dealer to Israel) and other “Western” countries are complicit in this genocide.

So maybe think about that. And then think about what you just said.

@aral @panda Thank you for saying this. We don’t ask for help because we want to, but because we have lost almost everything.

I’m a mother of four children in Gaza, and every day we struggle to provide food, water, rent, and basic necessities while living in fear and uncertainty.

The world has failed us and left us to face this suffering alone. Behind every donation link is a real family simply trying to survive with dignity. ❤️🇵🇸

If we can't tolerate just knowing Gaza exists, no obligation tho interact, or even see, we need to stop and reflect on where we are.

What should happen is of course for the blockade to end. When that is not happening, we can tolerate some uncomfortable reminders.

@aral @panda The world must look at our wretched faces, our exhausted hearts, and our frail bodies; It must see those who yearn for a notebook and a pen, for hot food and cold water, and for a dim light instead of living in darkness; It must realize that its moral and humanitarian duty is to help us, rather than engaging in theorizing and skepticism.

@aral @panda I’m from Gaza. Do you know why we now have to ask for help when we never did before the genocide?
Because the US, Germany & others failed to stop it—and keep arming Israel while we’re killed, displaced & starved.
For 4 days, we’ve survived on za’atar. Did anyone ask if we’re full?
Then we’re asked to prove we’re from Gaza to receive help from compassionate friends, while your governments could stop this.
Don’t make the victim the problem.You left us to save ourselves

@Rania @panda It’s the least we can do, Rania. We should all be collectively hanging our heads in shame for allowing a live-streamed genocide to continue. This moral failing will haunt us for generations. And it will define who we are and eventually destroy all we hold dear if we don’t change course.

During this war, my husband was severely injured, my daughter Kinda was injured, and recently, my son Uday was also injured.
I lost my nephew, who was killed just one week before his wedding. I also lost my mother in Egypt, and I never had the chance to see her or say a final goodbye.
I lost my home and my only source of income. 💔
