Anybody know for sure what 'FB' stood for on the sail of a boat of the mid-19th century?

I'm assuming it to be 'Ferry Boat'. It was cut onto a slate grave slab at Newborough church, in the vicinity of Caernarfon on the Welsh mainland.

Info much appreciated!
