The US #CoastGuard attempted to board it in the #Caribbean in December as it headed for #Venezuela, which the #Trump admin has placed under naval blockade [but they continue to claim it’s not a #war]. The ship refused boarding & headed across the #Atlantic.

#Russia hasn’t commented on the apparent #US operation against the Russian-flagged #OilTanker. In a statement issued on Tuesday to the state news agency #Tass, the Russian Foreign Ministry said the vessel was operating in full compliance with international #MaritimeLaw, & said it was receiving increased attention from the US & #NATO “disproportionate to its peaceful status.”
