A member of #GenX, I was in the International Baccalaureate Diploma program where I did my Extended Essay on the evolution of female characters in comic books from the genesis to the 1990s. This means that ever since I was a teenager, I've been a #feminist
I'm also a geek, first about #comicbooks, then #anime and #manga. I was heavily involved in the anime con scene, then transitioned to the #scifi and #fantasy con scene.

Current interests include #videogames, #MagicTheGathering, #TTRPGs, #WebVideo, #musicals, and #jazz. I'm on an interesting physical and mental health journey, I love traveling, and my spouse and I are #foodies who like to cook at home.
I'm interested in chatting with the people on this server because as a #newcomer to Canada, I'd like to make friends as an adult... which is SUPER hard. Do you want to be friends or at least acquaintances? Ask me a question; I'll tell you no lies.

The world: *gibbering madness*
Me: What I'm hearing is, "Go draw a full third of a proxy deck in two or three hours."
Only eight or so more cards to do and then I'm done. And I've got all the actual text laid out, I'm just completely tapped out of inspiration for the artwork @_@
Second to last set of Island proxies, we're getting into the abstract now :D
Okay, let's look at those proxies I made :D
The deck's got 22 Islands so I did four series of five plus a surprise. The first series was Actual Islands I Found On Google
The next group of Islands are slightly less realistic and slightly more geometric. By the time we get to the end of these proxies, the lands will be downright abstract. Which I thought was neat :D
I'll post them individually later I need to actually, like, have food and shower ^^;

In my continued quest to make recycled deck boxes... I've got this new one! Made it following a tutorial by a lovely man who spoke only German.
Unfortunately, this one is just a little bit too small to properly fit a commander deck. Not the fault of my poor German skills though! I just added in extra panels to glue it more solidly instead of just using tape like he did and forgot to include that in the measurements.
I'll be changing the glue flaps for the next build and adding a few centimeters for safety, but I think I got this one down. For now, this can house a bunch of six sided dice I thrifted the other day (retired casino dice, so extra nice).

Last year, I designed a custom magic set with modal dual-faced cards, which also were capable of transforming. Routinely the reddit feedback was 'these can't do that.' I responded with 'the rules would be changed, if these were real.' The normal rejoinder was 'that can't happen, because the rules are not that way now.'
Anyway, spider-man's bringing modal dual faced cards and my genius is such an overwhelming weight sometimes. #magicthegathering
