A plaque which reads: Duke Street -The Longest Street in Scotland. At 3.3km in length Duke Street is not only the longest street in Glasgow, but also in the whole of Scotland. People in the west of the city like to claim the title should go to Argyle Streey, but that's pure West End mince. While Argyle Street may be marginally longer, it is clearly divided into two separate sections by the M8, and so does not count as a single continuous street. However, both communities agree the longest street in Scotland is definitely not King Street in Aberdeen, and that Aberdonians are a bunch of chancers for ever even trying to claim the title for themselves.
