Debian 😻
New #laptop #computer at work, which will replace my > 12 yo Lenovo Thinkpad X220. It's a #Framework#Laptop13.
Installed #Debian 13 #trixie. So far looks good, only #hibernate did not work at first. Had to switch off #SecureBoot.
And this is the good news of the day: #DebianInstaller by default keeps a RAM-size #swap partition again, which is needed for #hibernation. This was broken for ≈ two Debian releases, but finally fixed.
OK, I have a computer question... I have a mini PC with an M.2 SSD as its main drive running Windows 11.
I would like to take out that drive, put a new one in, and install Linux Mint.
Should that work? Is there anything I need to check first? Is there a realistic chance that swapping the SSDs back would not let me use the PC as it is now again?

I have a large collection of #electronic and #computer #music #vinyl #records. I had a radio show on FM on the subject for about a decade. So it is always exciting to find something I don't have, especially early stuff. Found this 10" boxed "Music from Mathematics" from 1960, bell labs. Much more rare than 1962 Decca 12". Never seen it before. Found in a local shop, of all places, hiding inside a vinyl carry case.

Is it just me, or is it impossible to get a decent vertical mouse?
I've owned a couple of the cheap ones, and the scroll wheels failed after ~6 months. Splurged on a Logitech Lift, and the scroll wheel still works great over a year later - but the left click switch is failing (I can hear/feel it click, but it drops the input 10% of the time).
Anyone out there have any suggestions? Has to be a vertical mouse due to accumulated damage from 30+ years of using "flat" mice. I don't need any bells and whistles (extra buttons, trackball, joystick, etc) but I won't complain if they're present. I use a mouse 10+ hours a day, so durability is important!
