so like, the gender euphoria when you realize that your body is more correct than it's ever been in your life, at some point that, like, plateaus, right? like eventually you, like, even out and you're just you, and you're content and happy about it, and it's not like every week you discover some new level of joy, forever?

cause honestly this might be the most bonkers part of a process that's full of bonkers stuff. i never knew i could be this happy, just... being.

A little #TransJoy moment from yesterday, at a birthday party with the little one: all the mums there assuming I’m his biological mother, to the point of asking me a question about “the dad”. ☺️ I still can’t get over the fact that in all-female environments I am always seen as another of the girls, another of the moms, and no one ever questions, well, anything. In a moment when I’m going through a lot of facial dysphoria, these little moments mean more than any of these women will ever know. ♥️

I brushed my teeth, flossed and had another try at trimming my beard. I felt so good: clean and ready for bed!

In one way I'm like "man I've added another body-maintenance chore?!" but it's totally worth it because the feeling of my neck being smooth because I just shaved it is so so much nicer than it being smooth because hair never grew there in the first place.

I keep touching it, and smelling the remnant of shaving cream my brain still associates with my boyfriend, and grinning. #TransJoy
