Can someone please explain what counter culture means to mozilla? Ffs
Tor browser's latest build cuts Mozilla's AI features in the name of privacy
While everyone else races to bake AI into the browser, Tor is ripping it out on purpose

God, can someone please finally take #Firefox out of the hands of #Mozilla and their damn "AI" bros?
When they started adding all of this nonsense I went into my about:config to explicitly set "browser.ml.enable" to "false", but apparently even doesn't save you, as the new "features" will just not give a damn. 🫠
Mozilla recruits beta testers for a built-in Firefox VPN / @theregister
「 Firefox VPN is a different project entirely from Mozilla VPN, a separate, paid-for product. The Firefox version will be free to use and confined to the browser itself, while Mozilla VPN can be used by up to five devices at a time 」

Hi @nextcloud your latest release seems to have very broken / obscured topmenus in #Mozilla Firebox, but works fine in Chrome.

⚠️ Important PSA about #Pocket ‼️
If you used Pocket to save interesting articles you found online, you may be aware that #Mozilla decided to shut down the app and discontinue support.
I vaguely remembered that date was July and had a mini-heart attack when I saw it was actually July 8.
Good news though: if you, like me, have hundreds of articles saved to Pocket, you have until October 8 to request an export of your data (I just did): https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/future-of-pocket
Next up: moving to @wallabag 🤗

Routine PSA: #Mozilla will shut down #Pocket on October 8th and delete all user data. You have a week left to request an export of your archive.
(My first request returned a corrupt file, so I'm going for a second round now. Fingers crossed).
