A new update from #gotpapers
It turns out that we forgot to put online some of the #C64 #papermags that AHV/Radwar generously provided to us back in 2019. And what a treasure trove this is! A completely lost issue of CCCP (#3), a better scan of another CCCP issue (#9), and a whole bunch of Illegal issues that had been preserved only as type-ups before. Now you can enjoy the real scans, featuring lots of graphics and the famous Cracker Map of 1988! https://gotpapers.scene.org/?p=4242 #demoscene

I hate that I have to make this PSA. I'm posting it so other people in the demoscene are aware, and so other demoparty orgas can make informed safety decisions. please don't turn my replies into a cesspool, I don't have the energy for it.
felice is a creep and a transphobe. we banned him from NOVA for being persistently creepy to women. he was asked to leave people alone and he didn't. since then he's also been posting transphobic remarks on discord.

- SID Soundchip Interface (6581 configuration in stock, use the famous #Commodore #C64 SID Soundchip with your RC setup, or use modern replacement such as ArmSID)

- ZX True Tone (ZXTT, for use with Ed Brindley's YM/AY soundcard so the soundchip is clocked exactly at the same frequency as the 128K #ZXSpectrum)

- RC-ZX Bus Interface (Use RC2014 I/O peripherals on the #ZXSpectrum)

I wonder about using "failscene" to describe the current slate of AI tools and demos. In contrast with the demoscene, which is about getting very low powered computers to do cool things you wouldn't expect them to be able to do, the failscene is about getting very high powered computers to fail at doing boring things we already know how to do without them. Plus you can stylize it fAIlscene if you're inclined to.
