Looks like somebody broke into #atari's #Sendgrid account and used it to send a bunch of phishing emails.
No explanation given for how; perhaps @zackwhittaker can wheedle it out of them.
Since it says here that they've "secured" the account, my guess is a bad password (or infostealer) + no #2FA. The most obvious explanation is usually the correct one.
Though I suppose a cracked Lastpass vault is also a possibility.
 #infosec #breach
I don't have to think about the possibilities. I *have* an Atari 800 😎

The next retro console from Atari is... an Intellivision-branded product. The Intellivision Sprint is coming in Dec for $150 and comes with 45 games. It has a retro aesthetic but modern touches like HDMI output and wireless controllers. https://atari.com/products/intellivision-sprint #Atari #Intellivision #IntellivisionSpring #RetroConsole
I have an original Intellivision and a bunch of games, and this aspect of this new version is huge, for me:
"..new designs and updated artwork to make it easier to know what buttons you need to press to play different games"
because I've tried many of those Intellivision games now, and the toughest part (to me) is always figuring out what buttons do what. You gotta get deep in the manuals, sometimes, to figure it out, which you might not always have if you only have the game cartridges.

This guy GETS IT. Playing the #Atari VCS wasn’t cheerful happy cartoon time; it was interacting with a barely-digital, barely-stable alien artifact playing back unfiltered garbled inhuman programming from some other time and place. It was not made to display hew-mon text and did not build orderly graphics out of tiles.
Of course it was just a toy, but it was also seriously gritty sci-fi. Not because what you saw on your TV looked like what these things would look like in reality, but because it was as if you were operating a tactical display on an ancient derelict alien starship.
Made an interactive #Atari 8-bit sound tutorial by translating my NES driver for the #POKEY:
https://bobbicodes.codeberg.page/nerdyPOKEY/
It builds up a basic sound driver in 6502 assembly in 9 incremental steps, from playing a single note to a simple tune. Uses my own custom assembler and the ASAP player for the CPU and POKEY emulation.

Yo! Today's #BandcampFriday. I don't have anything new, but try something you haven't heard from my #bandcamp, it sure would mean a lot!

(BTW, I'm moving part of @bloopmuseum to its new spot today, where I have more room to work on new #music!)
Oh, hello there.
The Atari 1200XL has arrived, it is in great cosmetic condition. Thankfully I do have a power supply for it that runs on 240v, so don't have to worry about step down transformers
