I FINALLY got around to decorating and firing some of the lidded tea bowls that I made a few months ago.
Here's one of my favorites: a bunny with radishes
if you want to see them all, I shared photos in my website's latest blog post

Just home from the Tatreez workshop at V & A Dundee, the workshop was organised by Tatreez Collective.
If you get a chance to go to a workshop by T.C, please go. No stitching experience required as they talk you through the steps to cross stitch.
It was a really interesting workshop, about the history of Palestinian stitching and the meaning of some of the main patterns used. Obviously politics did come into it.
Tatreez Collective was set up to preserve the embroidery, the meaning, while also providing work for women in Palestine.
They addressed the point of cultural appropriation, their reasoning is, it is not cultural appropriation so long as you describe it as Tatreez or Palestinian Embroidery and spread on the knowledge of what the patterns mean.
I realise this is a rambling description of the workshop and probably makes no sense. I feel horrific and can't stop shaking after the effort of today, but I wanted to tell you about it before it leaves my brain.

Chance Would Be A Fine Thing
https://metalabel-ktav.metalabel.com/chance-would-be-a-fine-thing-book?variantId=1
Created by Bangkok-based design-art collective COPODE. Each #book contains 100 designs and an essay about chance combinations in #graphic layout using custom-made auto-layout #software.
I’m currently working with COPODE on the design of a set of badges playfully responding to the ‘100% Human Made’ movement in #art. That movement promotes the belief that genuine art can only be created by individual #humans through sparks of inspiration born of lived personal experience and the long development of #craft and skills.
Our badges, by contrast, read:
100% Inhuman: Made With AI
The accompanying text will affirm that the work was not created through a spark of human genius – a claim to originality that, from a #feminist and #decolonial perspective, has been likened to a form of colonial violence – but emerges from an assemblage of #human and nonhuman forces: bodies, texts, political infrastructures and, yes, #ai.

I'm wrapping up a wonderful visit to #Canada (my first time here!)
I'll have more to say about how inspirational I found the people and culture to be, but for now, here's a peek at the demo piece I left at the studio for my new Canadian friends to enjoy.

Truly inspired by “I woke up and chose” a video about craftivism, a term used by #Resisters” and craft, crafters, artists. #Craft#Crafters#Fiberarts @inherentlee was discussing and I didn’t want to butt in so instead I did a search in Ecosia browser to find out about Katherine Vike who was mentionned.
Oh my a woman after my own heart, um, over a teensy part of me that is introverted. Her stories of protest and resistance movements are inspiring. It’s not a wonder that MSM doesn’t mention much those who are adding their efforts one by one to build effective loud voices to protest.
This is a short video I recommend to all who organize protests, doesn’t matter what kind. The concept of adding powerful resistance in quieter ways but building big numbers of volunteers who cannot be ignored.
