Yes Telstra Execs, you're 100% correct the server caused the outage, not the hierarchy of management who decided the cost of the modernisation project for that piece of technology was too expensive.
Just like how it's the NT4 server in that business over there that caused an outage, or the Tru64 system in that other business that caused its failure, or the Netware system over there that caused the outage.
It's always the out of date _server_ that causes the outage, for some reason, and not the business processes that failed. Weird that.
