If anyone still wonders if they should buy #OnePlus: No. You should not.
They've now put a hardware-based anti-rollback feature in place that, if you try to roll back (f.e. to install a custom ROM without Google spyware or because of some other issue) your device will be hard bricked, irreparably.

@strypey I am affected by it. #telenor #sweden is closing the 3g my phone cannot make phone calls. I called their support, they don't even have a public list of phones that are compatible they just tell you "buy a new phone at least post 2022, and even then avoid #Xiaomi, #nokia, #motorola, #pixel, #oneplus (and a tones of other brands the guy started to list me), prefer #iphone, #samsung"
