@researchfairy I watched a video by a recruiter who said that there's no reason to ghost someone even in that situation, because all major HR/ATS software has some sort of checkbox for "email everyone else a rejection" -- so even if it's just an initial application, it's literally a single click of the mouse to inform *everyone*

hm, na das ist ja mal ungünstig. Aber da der Mainzer Wissenschaftsmarkt nun mal dann stattfindet und da auch das mainzed-Zelt steht, nutzen wir die Möglichkeit sicher trotzdem. Ich glaube die wichtigsten TOPs des ersten Treffens sind ohnehin Kennenlernen, Brainstorming und Planung des nächsten Treffens. (Oder wolltet ihr schon andere Sachen einbringen?) Wir können ja zusehen, dass das nächste Treffen nicht allzu weit in die Zukunft gerät. (Das Wochenende drauf würde für mich z.B. tatsächlich auch gehen.)

Ich versuche unabhängig davon mal rauszufinden, ob wir einen Online-Kanal öffnen können. Der Zeitslot, um sich virtuell einzuwählen wäre jedenfalls Samstags von 17 bis 18 Uhr.

Wollen wir Themen und Ideen schon mal asynchron online sammeln? Auf einem Hedgedoc-/CryptPad? Padlet? Kanban-Board?

Folks in my hometown area along Lake Ontario are having fits on Facebook about Google Maps relabeling the lake. I remind them, “if Google Maps is willing to relabel Lake Ontario to make the government happy, just imagine what they’d do with all that data they’ve grabbed from you to make the government happy”.
