BigBlueButton is however a daily driver here, and matured to the point I'm confident recommending it to orgs, groups. I've helped a good number move off Zoom to it entirely.

Agree, but it's a heavy lift. Most of the 'thought leaders' like Heather Cox Richardson and Paul Krugman make their livings now on Substack. They could switch to Ghost, like Molly White @molly0xfff (https://www.citationneeded.news/) and Dave Troy @davetroy (https://america2.news/), but it would take real fortitude. They would need to summon the courage of their convictions.
