my understanding is that the fedi music scene is built on strict consent. that being creative commons is not good enough. music and videos won't be played unless the artist directly says it's ok.
I don't think this is a good idea for indie artists or the community. It slows everything down and limits curation, leading to a less appealing experience for the average listener. the #ccmusic scene has been developing for years.
let's help each other grow.

One of the funny things about reading the #ActivityPub specification is how much @cwebber loves #Emacs #orgmode.
In our read-through tonight we read the aside that said it might be a good idea to abandon editing a Note if it could mess up your org-mode formatting, and I was like, yeah, that sounds like something Christine would do.
