I've been meditating regularly for some months now. I try not to proselytize. I don't have an opinion about whether or not *you* should meditate. However, it's currently interesting to me, so I do talk about it some.
A good pal and intellectual sparring partner pointed me at this excellent Atlantic article a day or two back. I like it! I haven't noticed the symptoms in myself, but I'll watch for 'em. Increased mindfulness is an ironic result of reading the piece ;-).

The number of daily HTTP requests my iocaine serves is up from ~3M to ~6.7M.
Or my stats are wrong.... my stats might be wrong, because it doesn't really add up. Will have to have a look tomorrow.
However, what I do see is that the generated-url ruleset gets a lot more hits since about 13h yesterday. Those are firewalled off after one request, so the increased rate suggests they're coming at me from considerably more IPs.

That's a whole lot of IPv6 addresses. Looking at the logs of the past 6 hours, there have been 1.88m IPv6 addresses hitting that ruleset, and 682 IPv4 ones, so... this kinda tracks.
Not sure what I can do at this time (I don't need to, not yet). I can't block IPv6 ranges until I replace the firewalling code again.

1/2 - Auto-Publish TrueFans Activity to aid discovery.
One of the best ways to discover new podcasts is 'word of mouth' i.e recommendations from friends. TrueFans wants to automate this process.
TrueFans uses 30 different activity verbs to track fan behaviour. e.g become a fan, like, comment, play etc. We also use verbs to help identify 'SuperFans' by applying points to each activity verb. e.g gamification - badges, leaderboards and superfans.
