great news everyone
I use "Fediverse" for both a network and a culture. I also use "ActivityPub network" or "Open social web" for the network itself. I think it's very important to make the network as open, permissionless, and connected as possible. Everyone on the planet has a right to be on that network.
@benpate @laurenshof what if we evolved our thinking beyond blocklists? Like we've tried that for nearly a decade, with import/export since early 2023, can we honestly say they are building healthier better communities?
They're a very coarse moderation feature, but maybe consent based federation would be better? Or granular policies?
@Robotbeat I'll believe the recycling when I see it. They'll do atmospheric disposal as long as they are not prohibited from doing it.
@sundogplanets Just trying to be accurate.

By and large what people mean with a "Linux phone" is a "Non-AOSP based phone".
@hp
That's exactly what I believed and I would like to be sure to understand it rightly. Can we put it that way : in the whole Linux genealogical tree, one branch has given birth to the AOSP offshoot, among which we find #GrapheneOS ?

Good on #Brazil. Give #Trump admin a taste of their own medicine.

Function band here, we attend probably, 80 or so weddings a year. Your speeches all sound the same. Your first dance I've played a hundred times before. Nothing about your day is special. Its. A. Carbon. Copy. Of. All. The. Weddings. I. Attend. Hate weddings. Love free cake.
@sundogplanets They're planning to do graveyard orbit followed by orbital recycling and/or heliocentric disposal for the higher number of satellites, not atmospheric.

@stefano I just tried, so from the hotel wifi it works, but from the mobile 5G network it still gives me a timeout... Wondering if this might be due to some sort of CGNAT shenenigans.
@nils thanks for the feedback!
I pulled a lot of thistles. And the thistles were growing in the raspberry rows so I also ate a LOT of raspberries. Good incentive to keep working!
OH, also, if you run a writefreely instance and haven't checked on it recently, you likely have thousands of rogue accounts posting spam. There was a signup approval bypass discovered/disclosed/fixed about 2 weeks ago.
Goodbye ozone layer, it was nice while it lasted. There will be lots of other atmospheric consequences and casualties on the ground if SpaceX actually launches and burns up a multi-ton satellite on average every few minutes, as they plan to do. Also goodbye astronomy research, goodbye night sky, and helllooooo Kessler Syndrome!
