"Israeli newspaper rejects Netanyahu’s demands, vows to reveal truth in court after lawsuit threat

Israeli left-wing newspaper Haaretz rejected three demands Thursday by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to avoid being sued and vowed to reveal the truth in court, Anadolu reports.

The dispute concerns a report published Tuesday by the newspaper that said Netanyahu received a warning from United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in a call before Oct. 7, 2023, that Hamas was planning to launch an attack."

@dangoodin It has been my experience, for a while now, that restoring / setting up a new machine from a backup doesn’t bring the keychain passwords along. The only way I’ve ever brought passwords along (without having them in iCloud) is using migration assistant to copy data over from the old machine.

I get that we don't have jetpacks or any other future tech, but come on. I thought that the one benefit of #generativeAI was that the email spam would be better. Why is it just as bad as ever?

The now commonplace 'reluctant user of AI' is a crucial component in the the normalisation of this predatory tech.

By implying a lack of agency, the reluctant user seeks to obscure their choice of (supposed) convenience over all else. And so where not truly imposed (like the workplace), it is best read as a sort of confession.

Using big AI while openly and truly not caring about the commons, a habitable planet, healthy minds and societies, is honest, if nothing else.
