If the UK government had any sense it would pass legislation to make obstructing the RNLI an offence.
But it's the UK Government, so it won't happen, the police are also too busy arresting grannies with placards.

@moof The volunteer model and charity funding does mean that they are not beholden to a government who say, tell them not to rescue migrants or their funding is withdrawn.
@quixoticgeek obstructing the RNLI when they're doing their job is already an offence. #SOLAS is incorporated into domestic legislation.
