@moof The volunteer model and charity funding does mean that they are not beholden to a government who say, tell them not to rescue migrants or their funding is withdrawn.
@quixoticgeek obstructing the RNLI when they're doing their job is already an offence. #SOLAS is incorporated into domestic legislation.
